We saw the poster at VivoCity shopping centre the other day and we know that we have to bring Jo next time, so we did! The train looked quite small, so I thought that we adults could sit this one out. Surprisingly the friendly staff said that we could get in too, so we did.
Well, its not very spacious, but it wasn't uncomfortable. In fact, I was feeling rather excited as we waited for the train to move off. Talking about getting in touch with your inner child! Haha... As the train moved off, we were all, "Whoohoo!" But then we realise that it was moving quite slowly, so it was quite a buzz-kill. But it turned out to be quite a relaxing ride as we choo-choo along the side of VivoCity. The sea view and afternoon breeze was really enjoyable, but it was abit weird as everybody sitting outside was gawking at us.
It wasn't a very long ride. We went from one end of VivoCity (next to HabourFront) to the other end (next to Sentosa bridge) and back. Cobby said that it would be better if they would drive us over the Sentosa bridge and back. I think that if they do, they would have to charge more than S$6.00.
Well, Jolie didn't jump up and down with ecstatic joy after the ride like we hoped, but hopefully she had enjoyed it enough. I did! :)
That evening we gave ourselves a treat and drove all the way to the Daily Scoop ice cream parlour at Clementi. Cobby and I shared a durian ice cream while Jolie had a kid's portion of chocolate ice cream all to herself. It was like eating durian, particularly when you managed to get a chunk of durian fruit in your scoop. Shiok ah!
It was definitely a great way to end a day!
